Salem is Bri's tried and true heart dog and, while not her first Springer, the foundation dog to which her program is built and themed thereafter. Although no dog is perfect, she has the precise temperament and drive that Spellcraft Springers hopes to foster in future generations of working class dogs.
She is an incredibly confident, bold, dog with moderate-high drive. In her day-to-day life, she lives as Bri's Service Dog and is well-adjusted to virtually all social settings and has been successful in high level obedience tasks. She has also professionally modeled for SIGMA. In addition to this, she is also a beloved family pet and a wonderful sport dog.
At of late 2022, she is still training in agility. She actively participates in the sports: dock diving, barn hunt, conformation, toss and fetch league, fast CAT, and flyball. We anticipate she will debut in NASDA and nose work trials by early 2023 barring availability in the area.
Kennel Spellcraft is loved and owned by Bri Jansen, long-time breed enthusiast and canine hobbyist. Most of her professional life has been spent working with dozens of different dogs and breeds, with an emphasis on studying behavior and training methodology. She's been involved in everything from boarding, training, handling, raising, and even providing dental care since the earlier 2000s.
Bri has been involved with the Springer breed since 2016, though she spent many years familiarizing herself since before then.
